Brad Moss : Wishing Pot
My inspiration for the Wishing Pot series is derived from the ancient ceremony in Asia of a pottery jar with a wish inside which was buried in the ground.
Under the lid attained was a cylinder. Rolled up inside was a hand written wish which then was placed in the jar and then buried for generations, later to reveal the beautiful shapes of the ancient potters.
This history is inspiring when designing my pots. Each one is unique. Made from our Tasmanian Huon Pine, and the lid from Celery Top, which is burnt on the surface. And the handle made from alloy wire. Each one is handcrafted.
