Janine Combes

Janine Combes Jewellery Janine’s studio is on the North of Bruny Island, Tasmania. Her wearable sculpture combines silver and other metals with materials as diverse as buffalo horn, resin, found objects and anodized aluminium. Janine’s work is inspired by nature, history and identity. Her jewellery training began in Hobart and since then she has undertaken further study in Italy, Bangkok and a residency in North Vietnam. She is currently undertaking a Master of Fine Arts (Research) at UTAS.

Janine has exhibited in solo and group shows and was the winner of the Tidal.20 art prize. She has been a recipient of two Arts Tasmania grants and in 2021 completed a residency at Bundanon in NSW.
