Christine completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts for Visual Arts Teaching at the University of Tasmania in 1982, after which she taught as a specialist art teacher for 16 years.
From 2006 until 2010 she returned to the University of Tasmania and completed a Masters of Contemporary Art for which she received a High Distinction award. During this time she undertook a technical investigation of the mediums of ceramics and glass, which she applied in her creative arts practice.
After completing her MCA, she continued her arts practice in her studio in Tasmania. Christine's physical environment, the landscape of Tasmania, informs and directs her creative approach to her artwork.
Christine's work in the mediums of glass, ceramics, lino printing and acrylic painting and she often combines these mediums in a final piece.
During her time as a practicing artist she has exhibited and sold work in galleries throughout Australia.
